We create value.

We share a few core beliefs.
There are three essential principles to R2: [/vc_column_text][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/3″][icon_counter border_size=”2″ border_color=”#a4a4a4″ icon_type=”custom” icon_img=”id^21|url^https://www.riskandreturn.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/sol-community.png|caption^null|alt^null|title^sol-community|description^null” img_width=”126″ block_title_front=”Solution by Community” block_title_back=”Solution by Community” block_desc_back=”Effective solution generation will be accelerated by building and cultivating a renewed sense of community among those who know what it takes to serve in extreme environments.”][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/3″][icon_counter border_size=”2″ border_color=”#a4a4a4″ icon_type=”custom” icon_img=”id^101|url^https://www.riskandreturn.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/power1.png|caption^null|alt^null|title^power1|description^null” img_width=”126″ block_title_front=”The Power of Purpose” block_title_back=”The Power of Purpose” block_desc_back=”Re-uniting this community with a clear sense of purpose and meaning will catalyze the development of more effective solutions.”][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/3″][icon_counter border_size=”2″ border_color=”#a4a4a4″ icon_type=”custom” icon_img=”id^20|url^https://www.riskandreturn.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/asset-framing.png|caption^null|alt^null|title^asset-framing|description^null” img_width=”126″ block_title_front=”Asset Framing” block_title_back=”Asset Framing” block_desc_back=”While this community is deserving of assistance, it is not viewed as a group of victims. The Market
[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column css_animation=”fadeIn” width=”4/12″][icon_box border=”0″ title=”Largely Non-existent” image=”22″]To date, there is no market for high-risk public service philanthropy. Rather, that space is fragmented with a diverse myriad of functionally-oriented groups (veteran, law enforcement, clandestine officers, etc.). The prevalence of behavioural health conditions among first responders is 50% greater than the general population [source: SAMSHA Study, May 2018].[/icon_box][/vc_column][vc_column width=”4/12″][/vc_column][vc_column width=”4/12″][icon_box border=”0″ title=”Growing but Modest” image=”26″]The “new economy” of post-9/11 groups is rapidly taking market share from legacy organizations (VFW, DAR, American Legion, etc.). However, and despite the 15% annual growth of post-9/11 organizations, veteran-based philanthropy remains modest at $3.6B (<1% of total American philanthropic giving). Only 14% of veteran-service organizations receive more than $250K in annual contributions [source: GuideStar reporting].[/icon_box][/vc_column][vc_column width=”4/12″][icon_box border=”0″ title=”Traditional Legacy Approaches” image=”24″]Aside from veteran-founder VC, there is no venture-backed or hybrid approach to high-risk public service philanthropy. There is no program for PTSD screening or treatment for clandestine service officers retiring from the CIA [source: Third Option reporting].
